Preeben Holm 1: His name was Preeben Holm. Many say he was the finest carver of freehand pipes ever. I have two of his earliest works still unsmoked. This straight grain flawless briar weighs just two ounces without the stem. The briar is 3" high, 2" wide and 4" long (6 1/2" including the stem). Put eight quarters in your hand and you'll see how light this briar is. These pipes have been in my possession since 1977. If you are a serious collector you can now purchase it for $299.00. Call or email me about this one. View Pipe. — Jack
Preeben Holm 2: This is the second of my two Preeben Holm pipes. Again, this is a flawless straight grain pipe unsmoked. It too has been in my possession since 1977. The briar of this pipe weighs just 2.5 ounces. It is 2 1/2" high, 2" wide and 3 3/4" long (6 1/2" with stem). Visit this website for an interesting history of the carver. The briar is slightly smaller than the first and slightly denser; therefore, it can be purchased for $299.00. Call or email me about this one. View Pipe. — Jack.
